    Objective / Goal

Eating is the basis of human life and is directly related to physical and mental development and health. Due to economic development and cultural diversity, health problems are not the same as in the past, and chronic degenerative diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer are increasing, especially in relation to food intake. However, these diseases are more important because they can be prevented and treated by controlling the diet and living environment. Also, as women's social activities increase, the dietary culture tends to rely on eating out and group meals, which requires a lot of people with expertise in it. In our department, we learn a very promising field of nutrition, food science and geography approach to a reasonable diet that maintains and enhances human health. In other words, the department aims to foster people who can prevent disease, improve health, and contribute to an advanced industrial information society as a study of various areas related to human health.
