Introduce

 Bilateral exchanges and cooperation of South Korea and Mongolia are being further strengthened as important hubs of the 21st century connecting the Eurasian continent and the Asia-Pacific region based on geo-political and geo-economic advantages located in Northeast Asia and complementary economic structures characterized by advanced technology, capital, and abundant underground resources. Since the opening of the department of Mongolian Studies at Dankook university for the first time in Korea in 1993, The department of Mongolian Studies of graduate school has selected the Mongolian language, literature, and history, as three representative categories and has conducted in-depth studies aiming to foster Mongol regional experts, and creative and active future academic generations who will contribute to national and social development and take a leading role in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The department of Mongolian Studies also invites prominent Mongolian research institutes and renowned scholars from home and abroad to conduct systematic lectures and research, and has been producing experts in the field of Mongolian studies who can live up to the era of international competition.
 

Objective / Goal

  The department of Mongolian Studies of graduate school contributes to national interest and social development by fostering experts who will lead the 21st century with professional and in-depth knowledge through systematic education on Mongolia which is the most important geo-political and geo-economic important spot in Northeast Asia. The purpose of education in the department is to foster local experts, professors and research personnel with knowledge familiar with various fields of history, politics, economy, culture, arts and folklore on the basis of a full understanding of the Mongolian language, Mongolian literature, and the history of Mongolian nomads. In order to achieve these goals, the department has been conducting active exchanges among Mongolian academic institutions and researchers from around the world related to Mongolia, including Mongolia, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China, and the Republic of Buryatia in Russia.

     Department of Public Management offers Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration and Master of Public Administration. Based on field research as well as academic ttraining, students will be able to cope with public issues dealt in various area including government, non-government and global society. It is designed to manage de facto public organization effectively however, students will be asked to challenge creative thinking toward interprofessional cooperation as well as conflict management. We offer minor of Public Management and Public Policy so students can pursuit their career goal as they wish.

    Psychology

    Introduce

     The Department of Psychology Graduate School was first established in March 2017. There are courses in clinical, counseling, and cognition, and flexible exchanges are possible between the courses. In the curriculum, professors, doctoral and master's students study various topics related to psychology through lectures, journal presentations, book readings, case discussions, research guidance and conferences etc. Postgraduate courses include laboratory work and research projects based on scientific evidence. In addition, The Psychology department Graduate School has close links with other universities' graduate schools, research institutes, medical hospitals and communities.     European Language and Literature

    Introduce

     The European Language and Literature Department will train excellent researcher for languages, literature and research institutes in the European region focusing on German, Russian, French, Spanish and Portuguese Language and literature. To cultivate professional intellectuals with international level of competitiveness, the department operates a curriculum that can well accept academic theories and new academic trends in the majors, solve problems independently for the purpose of creating advanced and creative knowledge, and improve creative and critical research capabilities.

    - Major in German language and literature
    Through the academic study of German language and literature, the major in German language and literature provides an in-depth observation and analysis of German language, culture and society, and lays the theoretical foundation of new cognition. Based on this, the goal is to develop the ability to promote the development of humanities, to overcome the limitations of natural science and sociology, and to design a creative future.

    - Major in Russian language and literature
    The aim is to acquire a deep and broad knowledge of this field by studying Russian language and literature in depth and to train highly skilled experts. Therefore, it aims to cultivate faculty members in the future, while at the same time nurturing talent that can bring great progress for humanity in Korean society and other global societies. In addition, the school aims to become the best graduate school in Russian culture by making Russian culture, a cultural giant, more specialized to mark the century of 21st century culture.

    - Major in French language and literature
    It is a major opened for the purpose of further study of French literature and linguistics, to foster professionals who will contribute to globalization as well as the correct acceptance of French culture. It is also aimed at fostering professionals who can meet the new trend of the age of the world, which is centered on the study of French and literature. This major establishes and operates all the curricula necessary to achieve these objectives in a phased and systematic manner. Focusing on intensive and practical training for the ability to speak the language practically, learn systematic and professional knowledge throughout French language and literature and study in depth.

    - Major in Spanish Language and Literature
    It is a major opened with the aim of further research in Spanish linguistics and Spanish and Latin American literature. The ultimate goal is to foster professionals who will contribute to globalization through serious academic approaches to Spanish linguistics and Spanish and Latin American literature. Specifically, the detailed major in Spanish linguistics provides a theoretical analysis of the interesting phenomena that Spanish shows compared to other languages, and further seeks to contribute to Spanish language education as a second language, while the Spanish and Latin American literature majors seek a more in-depth understanding of Spanish-speaking culture by making theoretical analyses of Spanish and Latin American literary writers and their works.
    - Major in Portuguese language and literature
    This major aim to train specialist for Portuguese and Lusophone literature. The language part is organized with a curriculum of professional interpreter and translator, which is focused on practical business. The literature part focus on overall current literature. But for being real special researcher need profound understanding of Lusophone country’s social and culture. So this curriculum is also organized.

     The European Language and Literature Department aims to cultivate excellent talent for the industry and research institutes of European languages, focusing on language studies, literature, foreign language education (German, French, Spanish, Russian language literature), and European regional studies. Building the expertise needed to exercise ability in each field and firmly establishing the expertise to respond to culture of new informations are the basic education policy.
     The European Union of the 21st century has the initiative in many areas, including European-oriented diplomacy and politics, computer information business, education, publishing, and translation. The department will nurture talents in the globalization era with extensive knowledge of Europe's international relations, economy, global business, and the global area (Europe) as well as foreign language proficiency and internationalization experiences and qualification as a global leader.

     Based on the theory of economics, Environmental Resource Economics aims to empirically identify, analyze, and resolve various economic and management issues related to the environment, agriculture, food, and region. Accordingly, this department studies environmental, economic and regional, economic, agricultural, industrial, economic, agricultural, economic, economic, economic, distribution, green marketing, and food safety.
