This course is a doctorate program that conducts research on the theory and personal works of art. Doctoral students are guided to research and study contemporary cultural issues such as art history and art criticism as well as to prepare their doctoral dissertation along with each practice of their major works. This department includes 4 majors such as western painting, oriental painting, sculpture and metal crafts.

Our graduate school boasts new concept education of fusion and recreation, covering not only fashion, but also fashion accessories and lifestyle design. For this, it focuses on education that harmonizes the 4 elements of technology, sensitivity, intellect, and contemporary characteristics. Objective / Goal
The educational purpose of the department of English language and literature is to provide the comprehensive and professional knowledge needed to demonstrate ability in the areas of linguistics, English literature, and English education. Therefore, the department takes the basic direction of education for students to respond to the new information and consolidate their expertise. In the field of linguistics, the educational focus is on increasing understanding of language through the study of the nature and inner structure of English language. In the field of English literature, the focus is on improving understanding of literary thought by studying various English literary works. In the field of English education, the focus is on understanding English educational theories and applying them into various language teaching and learning fields. The curriculum of English language and literature also aims to enable students to acquire academic knowledge of English and use it in various educational fields.

This department aims to implement total directional integrated design education that can foster abilities that correspond to the roles and positions of design leaders with professionalized and specialized knowledge and planning capabilities in the fields of fashion design and accessories and living design and of design leaders demanded by nations and societies.

This degree course conducts design theory studies, designs brand and fashion products, and implements practical research based on integrated design thinking and skills along with integrated education consisting of research, practical application, and planning that can develop planning abilities.
First, graduate school researchers will be assigned to the general courses (limited to applicants) of industry-academic cooperation projects of this department and more than 30 large and small companies with MOUs that cover diverse design areas including fashion design, accessories, and lifestyle. Also, practical design applications, design planning, and government supported individual research projects will be progressed so that individual graduate school students can carry out research projects in their respective fields of interest and professionals will be introduced to more actively support and expand the research of graduate students. Not only that, to cultivate the knowledge in design criticism and planning, in-depth design liberal arts learning will be conducted with top instructors in relevant fields.

The field of design has expanded from products to services and social systems, and as a result, the entire society has become an object of innovation. In other words, design is neither art nor science. Communication Design is a practical study in which we pursue design for people instead of design for design. Our department explores design industry trends and prepares for the future.

The whole process ranging from the initial ideas to delivering products and services to consumers is getting more significant in Communication Design. That is, the department involves studies related to individual process and consumer’s behavior changes, so the demand in relevant industrial sectors has been increasing. In consideration of such trends, we focus on cultivating creative talents based on flexible thinking which our department aims for.

The Department of Physical Education, established the Master program in 1974 and the Doctoral program in 1990, aims to foster competent researchers and leaders with the skills and qualities to meet the diverse needs of physical education required by modern society. In order to achieve this aim, the emphasis is placed on the systematic theory education of physical education through scientific teaching methods based on advanced studies. In addition, the two fields of humanities & social sciences, and natural sciences allow for the in-depth study of disciplines in each field, and further, the academic development of quantitative and qualitative research for sports science.

Introduce
We started from “Counseling Psychology Major” of the Dankook University Education Graduate School. In September 2013, the Department of Counseling of Graduation School was newly approved, and in March 2014, we recruited master and doctoral course students.
We aim to develope practical skills of counseling for training students as professional Counselor. We emphasize human potential and adaptive effort to overcome existing approach that applying medical disease model(mental disorder) for personal behavior problems.
Academic task of the department is founding new counseling studies based on our educational objective that cultivate professionals who combine research and practical ability. Also, we equipped with personal, group and family-child counseling room and monitoring facility for systemic and intensive counseling training.

We aim to help humans can more effectively solve the problems of suffering that faced in their lives and cultivate professionals in counseling who combine research and practical abilities.
The specific educational objectives to realize our purpose are as follows.
